The Little Children

Expert Author Tony A Grayson
Have you noticed how a young child trusts, will look at you with wide eyes, smile, and only expects you to bring joy to him/her? Some parents and care givers learn to pair fun activities with teaching so that their child experiences joy, encouragement, and accomplishment, all of which serve to spark a child's natural inclination to learn much and quickly.
Children are foremost in importance to God. I found thirteen notable verses about children in the Christian Bible. The Prophet (one whom God has contacted and to whom God has passed knowledge for the Jewish people) Jeremiah, wrote, between 627 and 582 BC (Before the birth of Jesus Christ), "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I set you apart (Jeremiah 1:5, New International Version).
During pre-natal care, a mother can hear her baby's heartbeat in 6-7 weeks. She can see the image of a human form (head, arms and fingers, legs and toes) in an ultrasound at 8 weeks. By the time these things happen, the mother might begin to bond with her child, talking to him/her, hum or sing songs, play a musical instrument, and by keeping herself happy and healthy, she nurtures her baby before birth, to give him/her the best chance of survival. Such activities are the mother's acceptance of God's grace and her worthiness to have and to raise a child. If Father God cares to know and form a child, then he must eagerly watch over mother and child and rejoice as new life begins.
At birth, the child is without sin. Sin must be acquired after birth. The Apostle (a Christian Teacher, one who came after Jesus was crucified/arose from death) Matthew quoted Jesus before the year 42 AD (the number of years after Jesus' birth), "If anyone causes these little ones - those who believe in me - to stumble, it would be better for them to have... ," (Matthew 18:6, New International Version). Note: Web search the verse to see what Jesus said.
It makes sense, doesn't it? Look all about you in nature and you will see mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and insects direct all of their energy to procreate, to experience the grace of young members of their species, to feed, protect, and teach them to do their species' purpose in life. So, why not mankind? God created all of this wonder about us, and entrusted mankind to manage it faithfully (grace that we are supposed to give back to God). It never was intended that we would do anything different. What is your purpose?
Ask for God's grace for you in prayer. Listen for his answer. Read about God's love in the Christian Bible. You can do that online by searching what you want to know. Read and think about the recommended verses. Pray to Father God; learn to recognize his grace that is freely given to you, and begin to associate with others who know Jesus Christ, so you can have and give help as you journey through your life. Jesus will always be there for you in this life, and he will welcome you to heaven after you pass on.
